Bamboo Arrangement

Here's a real quick, easy and cheap little project for you guys. My hubby and I recently went to a fundraising event and by each seat they had two bamboo stalks wrapped very nicely, with some cutesy line about the organization "growing" with our support. It's always great to add some greenery to your home for color and life so I plopped them in a round bowl from the dollar store that I already had in the house.

Pretty blah if you ask me. It needed something else. I quickly remembered that I had some river rocks, also from the dollar store, that weren't being used for anything.

Put 'em together and what do you get? Some color and texture that could go anywhere! Right now it's sitting on the kitchen counter, but I'm thinking of moving it to the front entry table. Since bamboo only needs indirect sunlight, you are practically unlimited in where you put it.

And there you have it. This project was free for me, but even if you had to get everything new, it would be under $10. The rocks and vase you can get from the dollar store and IKEA sells bamboo for very cheap. I'm thinking I may head out there and get a few more pieces to fill this one up a bit more.

What quick and easy projects have you done lately? Please share!
